Ian Rahman Let's make something beautiful.

Now

I make software to improve lives. My code is clean and idiomatic, and my architectures are extensible, maintainable, and testable. My header docs are legit. When I'm not slinging code you can find me in the mountains, across the oceans, or wandering the streets in search of a new perspective or place to eat. I love music and photography, and I'm always down to discuss big-picture topics like the digitization of currency, post-human evolution, mass migration due to climate change, and Next Big Things™️ in tech.

I love a good view.

Then

I was born and raised in West Virginia, but grew up traveling. I went to school in NYC, then Virginia. I spent a year in SF and loved it. Dogs have always been a part of my life. I've got two miniature dachshunds now with my wife; their names are Biscuit and Maple. Nutella is magic and if it's an option it's probably the flavor I'm going to pick. When it comes to savory dishes, I prefer spicy. Though I try to avoid over-simplified labels, my Myers–Briggs Type Indicator is pretty consistently ENTP.

These are a few of my favorite things.

My academic and professional history includes music production and performance, business management and marketing, learning and teaching at startups, and programming for fun and profit.

Want to build something beautiful? I'd love to hear about it!

See you out there.
